Accreditation

Physicians

Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses

Social Workers 

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Harvard Medical School is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 16.00 General Continuing Education Credits.

Psychologists 

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This program offers 16.00 CE hours.

Risk Management 

This activity meets the criteria of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for credits of Risk Management Study. This includes: 

  • 8.00 credit(s) of Opioid Education and Pain Management Training 
  • 8.00 credit(s) of End-of-Life Care Education 
  • 8.00 credit(s) of Medical Marijuana Training

Canadian Accreditation

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada recognizes conferences and workshops held outside of Canada that are developed by a university, academy, hospital, specialty society, or college as accredited group learning activities.

European Accreditation

The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of continuing medical education (CME) credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS). Additional information regarding this agreement may be found on the American Medical Association (AMA) website.
