Comprehensive review and recent advances in the evaluation and management of patients with snoring and sleep disordered breathing are presented by leading experts in the field of sleep medicine and sleep surgery. Distinguished speakers include those from Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals and nationally and internationally recognized leaders in the area of sleep surgery. The course features in-depth lectures, Q&A and a panel discussion all designed for personal interaction with renowned discussants. Sessions will include overview of sleep disordered breathing; medical consequences; nonsurgical and surgical treatment options with dental, oral, maxillofacial, and otolaryngic approaches to corrective therapy; and compliance management. Those who are interested in a comprehensive understanding of practical and theoretical approaches to the evaluation and treatment of snoring and sleep disordered breathing are encouraged to attend.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Recognize signs and symptom as well as consequences of untreated snoring and sleep-related breathing disorders. 
• Measure the knowledge of sleep physiology and anatomical findings that contribute to sleep disordered breathing. 
• Develop a strategy to confidently discuss and recommend therapies to patients. 
•  Implement recommended therapies or combination of therapies into one’s own practice; based on level of confidence, training, and skill, or make appropriate referrals. 
• Develop strategies to monitor therapeutic intervention for resolution of condition, monitor compliance of non-surgical intervention, and implement or appropriately refer for surgical therapy.
