Dr. Freedman is the medical director of the DFCI Cancer Care Collaborative, a senior physician at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. She joined the faculty at Dana-Farber in 2009 after completing her fellowship there. She specializes in the treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Freedman’s research focuses on improving the care of vulnerable patient populations who are often under-represented in clinical trials to date and who often have worse cancer outcomes compared with other patients with breast cancer, including older women and minority women. She is also interested in novel therapeutics and serves as the principal investigator for several trials in the adjuvant and metastatic disease setting.
