Olivia I. Okereke, MD, MS
Olivia I. Okereke, MD, MS, is Director of Geriatric Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Okereke is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Associate Professor in Epidemiology at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a long-time co-investigator and clinical evaluator in the MGH Gerontology Research Unit and the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. She leads research efforts to: identify risk factors such as diet and lifestyle, as well as related biomarkers involved in healthy aging; understand early changes in mood and thinking that are relevant to memory disorders; and translate and apply knowledge gained into novel, effective strategies for prevention of anxiety, depression and cognitive decline in older adults.
