Melinda Lerwill, MD

Assistant Professor of Pathology, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Lerwill received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and her M.D. summa cum laude from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency training in Anatomic Pathology and her fellowship training in Breast and Gynecological Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Lerwill is an Associate Pathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she is director of the breast pathology service and breast pathology fellowship. She is an assistant professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lerwill is a frequent lecturer at national and international post-graduate courses. She has authored chapters on breast and gynecologic pathology in several major textbooks, including Rosen's Breast Pathology, Blaustein's Pathology of the Female Genital Tract and Sternberg's Diagnostic Surgical Pathology. Her academic interests focus on early neoplasia of the breast, biphasic tumors of the breast, metastatic lesions to the gynecological tract and graduate medical education.
