Lynn Shaughnessy, PsyD, ABPP
Dr. Shaughnessy received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Bates College, earned her Doctorate of Psychology from William James College, formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology through Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Mental Health Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Shaughnessy served as director of Neuropsychology Clinical and Training Programs at California Pacific Medical Center’s Ray Dolby Brain Health Center before returning to Boston in 2019.
Dr. Shaughnessy is board certified in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. She specializes in cognitive aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and has specific interests in education and training. Her expertise in adult neuropsychology extends across a variety of conditions, including brain injury, vascular cognitive impairment, Lewy Body disease (Parkinson’s disease, DLB), multiple sclerosis and effects of psychiatric and medical conditions on cognition. Dr. Shaughnessy takes a holistic and personalized partnership approach to patient care that emphasizes the integration of biopsychosocial background and priorities into providing individually tailored recommendations.
