Abhisekh (Abe) Mohapatra, MD, MS, is a vascular surgeon at the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. At both hospitals, he treats the full spectrum of arterial and venous diseases. He is particularly interested in aortic pathologies and peripheral arterial disease and is specialized in both traditional (open) and minimally invasive (endovascular) treatment techniques. He is the Medical Director of the accredited Vein Centers at Mass General West and Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Medical Director of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Vascular Laboratory. Dr. Mohapatra’s research focuses on analyzing comparative effectiveness and constructing risk prediction models for adverse outcomes after vascular surgery.
